Wandering Clouds
Wandering Clouds
Travelling together
Across the dessert.
Sun-tanned brown
Like camels, sand drowned.
Just a glimpse,
A colourful tinge.
Women in capuchin
Princess in palanquin
Jewels shining
Beauty blinding
Syce riding
Wise men guiding.
Drack dracone,
Water with a caramel tone.
Miles to cover
Mirage hovering over
Trinkets and bells,
Music and miracles.
Rare showers,
Captive powers.
Children dancing,
Birds glancing,
Rats hiding,
Sun gliding
Panoptic panoply
A cloudy caravan across the sky !

A well written poem that transports the reader to the deserts in the rainy season and gives him much pleasure
ReplyDeleteDear creative poet-loved your poem. Your poems have become my partner when riding a bus full of strangers. The amazing fact is that you created this poem in 1999 - when we all were so engrossed in books! Keep going girl. Cheers
ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted the caravan traversing a desert! Keep going The Poetess! Love it!!
